Shannon and staff,
I wanted to thank everyone again for a great week at your 1st Annual Shannon Mac Soccer Camp!
Shannon, what a blessing you and your staff were to me and my daughter. Your sincere love for kids touched my heart!
You made working hard, and learning FUN for the girls. And in doing so, I saw a higher level of confidence and play from my daughter. I think this is sometimes an aspect that some coaches tend to overlook, or forgot as they shift their focus on achieving soccer excellence.
There is a life lesson there that I think we can take to every level of our lives.
Sometimes I wonder if as a parent we are here to teach our kids, or if they are here to teach us. We need to step back and approach life like a 10 year old ... be silly, have fun, love your friends and do the "worm."
You and your staff were able to make each player feel like a "superstar," regardless of their skill level.
Thanks so much!
We'll be back next year!

Hi --
I just wanted to shoot you a note to thank all of the staff for a great camp. I know my daughter benefitted greatly from the lessons taught but probably, more importantly, from the way they were taught. I think having a camp taught for girls by women has a lot of merit, particularly when someone like Shannon is at the helm. Aside from the obvious skill and talent, Shannon exudes natural enthusiasm and passion for the sport as well as for the girls' improvement and efforts. She is very nurturing with the young girls while still driving all the campers to do their best. All of which leads to heightened confidence which seems to make a big difference in performance of girls this age.
I know by my daughter's experience this week, as well as from speaking to other parents with regard to their girls, that there was noticeable difference in performance at their teams' practices this week.
THANKS,
Crystal & Rebecca
Dear Shannon, Darla, JoJo, Gina, Susie, and Michele (hope I didn't forget anyone!)
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Taivin cannot say enough about how much fun she had and how great all of the staff was.
After leaving the last day of camp, Taivin went straight to her scheduled practice (for another 2 hours of soccer) and immediately started demonstrating the "cool moves she learned at camp". And during that practice, she says "mom, did you see how awesome I was at those volleys?... " "I am better now because we practiced it at camp."
And today I was reminded again how great your camp was, when I see the newspaper and there is a picture of Shannon giving Taivin a "high five".
Taivin's response to that question "what do you want to be when you grow up?" is always...... "I am going to be in the Olympics and become a pro soccer player!"
So Shannon, thank you again, you are an inspiration to Taivin and so many other girls with that "Olympic Dream"!
Taivin has ALREADY asked when she can come back to do your camp again, so maybe we will see you down the road!
Take care,
Brandi Rodrigues ( "Talkin Taivin's" mom)
